Janelle Clark
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Janelle is responsible for the daily operational excellence of Serenity Assisted Living and Memory Care. She oversees resident care, state compliance, resident and family relationships, staff retention and development, and financial controls.

Nancy Armstrong
Community Relations
Nancy has a passion for customer service and senior advocacy. She has worked in senior living for nearly a decade and is a board member on the Heart of Illinois Senior Care Network. Nancy enjoys helping families find the right fit for their needs and helping them through hard decisions. She has 2 very lively children and a Boston Terrier that keep her very busy at home.

Mallory Oatman, LPN
Health and Wellness Director
Mallory started her healthcare career right out of high school as a CNA. She has worked in several different medical settings, including long term care, hospice, pediatrics, doctor’s offices, and home care. Her favorite is senior care. She feels that seniors have so much wisdom and compassion to share. Mallory also enjoys spending time with her sister, brother-in-law, her two nephews, and her cats.

Nancy Triplett
Memory Care Program Director
Nancy has a B.S. in psychology and a M.A. in gerontology. She is a certified activity director and enjoys finding personalized ways to interact with the residents. Nancy has been working with seniors since 1988 and has always specialized in memory care. Her love for seniors comes from her very close extended family that always takes care of each other and highly values their elders. She has two younger sisters who have blessed her with one nephew and three nieces. Nancy also enjoys dogs, taking pictures, gardening, and learning new things.

Timber Motyl
Life Enrichment Coordinator
Timber worked as a home health CNA for two years and a physical therapist assistant for one year before coming to Serenity. Timber is very passionate about working with seniors and creating an environment that is friendly and beneficial to their social, cognitive, and physical health. Her favorite part of the job is getting to see the residents having fun and living life to the fullest.

Lewis Chance
Chef
Chef Chance started his career at the Washington Navy Yard, where he then transitioned to the Naval Observatory – otherwise known as the Vice President’s Home – when Rockefeller was Vice President. Rockefeller took Chef Chance to what is now known as the Armed Forces Retirement Home, where he began his career and spent over 30 years cooking for various Presidents.
