Meet Our Staff

Staff longevity is a hallmark of White Oaks community. We build a team of hard workers who take pride in the loving care given to our residents. As the senior care industry has changed, the White Oaks team has stayed on the cutting edge and raised the bar in quality of care issues. Listening to and acting on the needs and concerns of residents and staff is our mission.

The Wiker Award

The Wiker Service Award was created in 2009 in the memory of long-time White Oaks employee, Dottie Wiker. Wiker worked for Randall Residence for 25 years and was known for her attention to resident details, and a constant smile. Employees from all six of the Randall Residences (Michigan and Ohio) are eligible to be nominated for the award. A trophy with the winner's name will remain on display at the winning residence for a year. Anyone may submit a Nomination Form. Follow this link to download the form and find out more about the Wiker Award.

Resident Care Assistant

“The best part about working at White Oaks is getting to know the residents and their families.  Doing activities with the residents in the memory care program is especially fun.  The residents love playing Uno, which is my favorite too.  I’ve worked at White Oaks for 5 years now…it’s a great place to work.”

“We’re like a family.  Sometimes we have our ups and downs, but at the end of the day it’s always a good feeling.  I enjoy talking to the residents individually and learning about them.  And I love to see their feisty side.  I was only going to work here 6 months…that was in 2004!”

“For 14 years I have worked at White Oaks, and it has been so enjoyable.  I love to hear the stories from the residents and getting to know their personalities.  I have heard so many great stories from great people.  I also enjoy cooking meals for the residents, and of course, I love all the hugs I get from them too.”

“I’ve worked at other places and I’ve never felt so much freedom to express my ideas as I do here.  When I started working here in 2007, I learned from Victor to say hello to each resident.  At that time I was surprised that he knew each resident by name.  Now I not only know each resident but their stories too. Give them five minutes and you can learn a lifetime.”
